Kuih Bakar Pandan
Ok lets move on fm my previous post :op.. i had wanted to bake this kuih bakar ever since i saw it at mek siam aka Ijah's blog.. finally with little time in hand, i managed to bake it this afternoon and the person who ate most is Hairi and my super duper hb.. hes a sucker for this kuih lol.. not a big fan of kuih bakar lauk tho .. his loss hahahha..
Well ok peeps.. hv a good week ahead.. heres the recipe again :o)
1 cup sugar
1 cup pandan juice - (i used pandan paste and water)
2 cups plain flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/4 cups coconut milk (450ml)
2 tbsp butter
a few drops of green colouring
Blend all ur ingredients- put aside
Add 2tbsp of cooking oil in a 10" pan
Preheat oven and place ur pan in it. Once u see the oil heated, pour in batter, top it with sesame seeds and bake it at 175C for 90mins.. if u want ur kuih bakar not to hv crust.. u can bake it for an hr or till batter is baked... (previously i baked it for 45 mins 200C)
Got to love the burnt crust ey..
